JBS Riverside today announced it will hold a free Covid-19 vaccine clinic and give away free meat for a year to one lucky winner who gets vaccinated. In partnership with the Riverside University Health System, the clinic will be held on July 31 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Riverside County Assessor’s office (2724 Gateway Dr., Riverside).

As part of the JBS USA mission to vaccinate Americans in the rural communities where the company operates, it is awarding one winner who receives their first vaccine at the clinic with free beef, pork and poultry to feed a family of four for a year. Over 66% of JBS Riverside team members have been vaccinated to date.

“We’re all in this together to help end the pandemic, and rolling up a sleeve to get the Covid-19 vaccine is the best way to do your part,” said Kelly Crawford, JBS Riverside general manager. “We hope everyone will join us in taking this important step with the added bonus of a chance to win free meat for a year.”

JBS USA has promoted vaccination among its workforce of more than 66,000 employees with great success. The company’s vaccination program includes onsite clinics, paid time off, a $100 incentive bonus and a multi-lingual education campaign. As a result of these efforts, nearly 70% of its U.S. workforce has been vaccinated compared with a vaccination rate of only 49% for the U.S. population.

The vaccination rate of team members at many of the JBS facilities exceeds the average rate of vaccination in the surrounding community by more than 2-3 times. JBS USA wants to help change this dynamic and raise local community vaccination rates to help safeguard its hometowns across the country.

The JBS USA “Your Shot at Free Meat for a Year” sweepstakes campaign builds on the company’s Hometown Strong initiative, which is contributing more than $70 million to support its local communities across the country during the pandemic. Learn more here.
