Wesley Batista Filho serves as JBS USA Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the company’s North American business operations and strategy since 2023. He is the 5th CEO of JBS USA since its establishment in 2007. A member of the JBS global leadership team, Wesley reports to JBS Global CEO Gilberto Tomazoni.

He began his JBS career in 2011 as an intern in the Greeley, Colo. beef plant, serving on the production line. He later moved to São Paulo, working in the beef export sales department. Wesley then went on to lead the company’s beef operations in Uruguay and Paraguay from 2012 to 2013. He later moved to Calgary, Alberta, to serve as President of JBS Canada from 2014 to 2015, and then returned to Greeley to serve as President of the JBS USA Fed Beef business, the company’s largest business unit globally, from 2016 to 2017.

Wesley returned to São Paulo in 2017 and served as CEO of JBS Brazil from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, he accepted the role of CEO of JBS Seara, the company’s value-added poultry and pork business in Brazil, in addition to his responsibilities as JBS Brazil CEO. In 2022, he assumed the role of Global President of Operations, overseeing the company’s global operational footprint, including operations in North America, South America, Oceania and Europe.

In 2023, Wesley returned to Greeley for a third time and was appointed CEO of JBS USA, the company’s largest global platform in terms of revenue. JBS USA is a leading American food company with more than 60 beef, pork, poultry, prepared foods and other food production facilities in 31 States.
