President, Retail Ready, JBS Foods USA
Chris Benson, a 25-year veteran of the beef and pork industry, has led the JBS USA Retail Ready and Ground Beef business since 2020.
Benson began his career in 1993 as a summer intern at IBP in Dakota City, NE. Over the next 20 years, he held leadership positions in sales, pricing and value-added operations with Tyson Fresh Meats.
Prior to joining JBS in 2018, Benson spent four years at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, as Director of the Applied Agricultural and Food Studies department.
Benson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agri-Business and Economics from Morningside College in 1994.
